Join us as we read fun stories by author Jory John. We will practice reading a recipe, measuring, and mixing ingredients to whip up a yummy treat based on one of his stories. We will also use our creativity to make colorful crafts.

ABOUT DISCOVERY CAMPS

Discovery camps are the perfect way to keep your child’s mind engaged while school is out. In keeping with the Discovery Center’s educational philosophy, children will explore weekly themes through hands-on interactive activities that will spark their curiosity, engage their senses, and unleash their creativity. The children have so much fun they don’t even realize they’re learning!

All camps include visits to the Discovery Center galleries, outdoor play and a morning and afternoon snack. Lunch may be purchased from the Discovery Center’s Kids Cafe for $5 or brought from home. Discovery camps have a short time after lunch children may rest, but not a full nap time. Children must be able to use the restroom independently.
